Job Description of the District Lead Teacher Elementary

Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools 

 

Reports to: Director of Talent Development

 

Supervises:  May coordinate and direct the activities of Multi-Classroom Leaders and teachers.

 

Purpose: The District Lead Teacher is responsible for providing leadership, coordination, and support in the ongoing development, implementation, and administration of all phases of curriculum and instruction.  The District Lead Teacher is defined as one whose primary concern is the improvement and growth of teachers throughout the district.  The candidate is responsible for instructional functions including but not limited to the area of instructional assignment.  The District Lead Teacher is responsible for keeping abreast of the North Carolina Standard Course of Study instructional initiatives as they apply to teachers, and should be an expert in curriculum development and delivery.
